On the 30th<\/sup> of May 2024 Olga Mikhailovna Yastrebova delivered a lecture on \u201cManuscripts in the History of Iranian Culture\u201d at the Library of National Cultures, Saint Petersburg. The lecture took place with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olga Mikhailovna told about the role and the importance of manuscripts for Iran and other Middle Eastern countries. Manuscripts used to be not the only source of information but also of the status of its possessors. They were often beautifully decorated, and it made them sublime artworks. After the lecture the scholar answered the questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olga Mikhailovna Yastrebova is a Candidate of Philological Sciences, an Assistant Professor of the Department of Iranian Philology of the Saint Petersburg State University. She is a research scholar of the Department of Manuscripts of the Russian State Library.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
