On the 24th<\/sup> of September the lecture by Hieromonk Grigory Matrusov dedicated to building constructive relations between Islam and Christianity was delivered at Tavricheskaya Spiritual Seminary. The event was organized and held with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation in the framework of the series of lectures entitled \u201cIslamic-Christian Dialogue: Spiritual Foundation and Practice\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hieromonk Grigory told that while studying Islam in Rome he felt a \u201crational sympathy\u201d towards this religion. He noted: \u201cThe Lord created differences between us according His wisdom. The variety of existing religion is the will of God\u201d. Father Grigory described the notion \u201cMuslim\u201d as somebody who submits himself\/herself to God, and this underlined: \u201cLike Muslims we submit to the will of the God Almighty, and we are also Muslims ib this sense of the word\u201d. He also spoke on his experience of visiting Islamic countries, such as Iran, where he participated in the conference \u201cCivilizational Thought of Imam Ridha: Justice for Everybody, Injustice for Nobody\u201d. The visit was arranged with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The documentary \u201cThe Dot\u201d dedicated to the art of calligraphy was screened at the end of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
