On the 21 of October 2024 the lecture \u201cThe Sufi tradition of the ritual practice of Zhikr in the Northern Caucasian Islam\u201d took place at the Centre of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library. The lecture was delivered by Tanzila Savarbekovna Chabieva who is a Candidate of historical sciences, a research scholar of the Department of Caucasus of N.N. Miklukho-Maclay Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. She spoke onbtge emergence of Sufism in Dagestan, Chechenia and Ingushetia, its role and development in the society. The lecturer showed some photo and videos she made while travelling to Ingushetia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture was held in the framework of collaboration between Ibn Sina Foundation and the Centre of Oriental Studies of the Russian State Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
