On the 31 of October 2024 the lecture \u201cThe Main stages of the penetration of Sufi Islam into the regions of the Russian Caucasus\u201d was held at the Center of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library. It was delivered by Tanzila Savarbekovna Chabieva who is a Candidate of historical sciences and a research scholar of the Department of Caucasus of N.N. Miklukho-Maclay Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In her lecture she spoke on the main stages of the penetration of Sufism into Caucasus and on the Sufi Tariqa (religious orders) and practices that are widely spread in Dagestan, Chechenia and Ingushetia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was held in the framework of cooperation between Ibn Sina Foundation and the Centre of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
