On the 16 of November 2024 the lecture \u201cMysteries of Scheherazade: how did Oriental Fairy Tales change the World?\u201d was held at the Centre of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daria Bokhan, who is a specialist on religion and the author of the blog dedicated to ancient civilizations, disclosed how traditional values, beliefs and the cultural variety of the Middle Eastern peoples were reflected in legendary fairy tales and parables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecturer spoke on images of Jinns, Peris, Sheikhs, Viziers, magic lamps, aircraft carpets and explained why the framework structure of an oriental fairy tale makes in especially unique and interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture was held in the framework of cooperation between Ibn Sina Foundation, \u201cSadra\u201d Publishing House and the Center of Oriental Literature of V.I. Lenin Russian State Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the event books from the series \u201cShaknameh\u201d published by \u201cSadra\u201d were granted to participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
