Martynova&#8217;s Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ibn Sina Foundation supported the research of Darya Martynova that became a part of the book &#8220;Images of the Orient in the World Culture&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It is awaited that AST Publishing House will issue the book &#8220;Images of the Orient in the World Culture&#8221; by a Candidate of Art Studies, a senior university teacher of the Saint Petersburg State University Darya Martynova. In her book she describes cultural contacts between Europe and the East, and how oriental practices would influence European paintings, fashion, arts and crafts, and graphics.<\/p>\n<p>One third of the book is dedicated to Persia. In this part of the book Darya Martynova analyzes mutual influence of Persian and European culture based on examples of European graphics and paintings of the XVII-XVIII ventures, as well as farangi-sazi paintings and miniatures, and the English art of the XIX century.
