Its translation from Arabic into Russian was accomplished by Faris Osmanovich Nofal, the researcher at the sector of philosophy of the Islamic world of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Mikhail Nu\u2018aymeh (1889-1988) is an outstanding Lebanese novelist, the representative of the contemporary Arabic Literature. A brilliant prose writer and publicist, Nu\u2018aymeh remained loyal to Russia during his lifetime as he was grateful to this country for the excellent education and his initial literature experiences he obtained there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">In \u201cThe Last Day\u201d Mikhail Nu\u2018aymeh as a devoted follower of F.M. Dostoyevsky depicts a fantastic and at the same time realistic picture of \u201clittle person\u2019s\u201d life, the life of professor Musa al-\u2018Askari.
