It was compiled by the Iranian writer Mojgan Sheikhi and features the most famous stories from &#8220;Kalila and Dimna&#8221; translated into Russian by S.A. Tarasova and edited by N.I. Prigarina<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The main characters of \u201cKalila and Dimna\u201d were born in ancient India. The book is about two intelligent jackals who have conversations and tell different stories about people and animals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&#8220;Kalila and Dimna&#8221; quickly became popular not only in India but also in neighbouring countries. Both Persians and Arabs enjoyed reading it for many centuries, and it is now available to Russian-speaking readers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The collection was prepared by the Sadra publishing house with the support of Ibn Sina Foundation and assistance of the Hayyam Cultural Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cThe Wish Jug\u201d is the fourth collection of proverbs in the Persian Tales series.
