It has been published in cooperation with Institute of Philosophy of Russian Academy of Sciences, the Iranian Philosophy Institute and the Islamic Culture Research Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The central theme of the eighth issue of the yearbook is Plato and Platonism in Islamic philosophy, to which the eleven articles that form the first section are devoted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The second section, \u201cLogic of Sense\u201d, consists of Andrey Smirnov\u2019s article, dealing with translation as the production of meaning (based on the comparative analysis of fragments from Russian, English and French translations of Ibn Khaldun\u2019s Muqaddima).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The third section is devoted to Islamic Mysticism and Sufism. More than half of its ten articles deal with different aspects of the teaching of Muhy al-Din Ibn \u2018Arabi (thus establishing a sort of dialogue with the materials of the first section, devoted to Plato and Platonism). Among its materials, of particular importance is Masoud Dehesh\u2019s critical edition of Sh\u0101h Ni\u02bfmatull\u0101h Wal\u012b\u2019s Treatise Bay\u0101n-i khullat-I Khal\u012blall\u0101h.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The fourth section consists of two articles, dealing with the moral philosophy and ethics.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 8th\u00a0edition of the \u201cIshrak\u201d (\u201cIllumination\u201d) Islamic philosophy yearbook is out of print.
