Alikberov,\u00a0<\/span><span>the head of the Eastern Cultural Center (the Institute of Oriental Studies\u00a0<\/span><span>RAS<\/span><span>)\u00a0L.M. Ravandi-Fadai,<\/span>\u00a0<span>and the president of Ibn Sina Foundation Hamid Hadavimoghaddam are scheduled in the framework of the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">You will have a unique possibility to get acquainted with traditions, history and philosophy of this holiday, as well as with two new books published by the Foundation: \u201cPersia \u2013 Iran: the 20th Century\u201d by Alex Gromov and \u201cTales of Scheherazade\u201d translated by Svetlana Tarasova, both invited as special guests. A pleasant bonus: you will enjoy a musical play on santur that is an Iranian traditional musical instrument.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">We shall also tell you about our new project, a video blog under the title of \u201cCarpet Aircraft\u201d. Our guests will watch the first issue of the program dedicated to Nowruz even before the official publication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Nowruz is the Iranian New Year. Today it is being celebrated not only in Iran, but also in the Central Asia and Caucasus. This is a holiday of spring and joy. It symbolizes the triumph of light and life and the victory of good over evil. Nowruz is rich on different traditions, history and customs, and we shall be glad to tell about them at the holiday at the Eastern Cultural Centre of Institute of Oriental Studies\u00a0<\/span><span>RAS<\/span><span>.
