Introduction to the tradition&#8221; \u2014 was presented on 13 November at the RAS Institute of Oriental studies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The event was attended by the author \u2014 a famous calligrapher, general director of the Tehran Art Gallery, author of almost 30 academic works on calligraphy; B. Norik (the book&#8217;s translator, junior research worker of the History Department of the RAS Institute of Oriental Studies); A. Alikberov (deputy director of the RAS Institute of Oriental Studies, head of the Central Eurasia Research Centre; A. Vasilyev (senior research worker of the Central Eurasia Research Centre); D. Dubrovskaya, senior research worker of the History Department of the RAS Institute of Oriental Studies; H. Hadavimogaddam, president of the Ibn Sina Foundation; A. Lukashev, research director of the Ibn Sina Foundation, S. Tabai, general director of the Sadra publishing house.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The speakers praised the contribution of the Ibn Sina Foundation and the Sadra publishing house to the publication of the book. The author and the translator spoke about the work&#8217;s content and its aesthetic value.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The speeches were followed by a screening of Amir Valinejad&#8217;s &#8220;Tochka&#8221; documentary on Iranian calligraphy, which was released with the support of the Ibn Sina Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">At the end of the event the director of the Ibn Sina Foundation donated a few copies of Hamid-Reza Kelichkhani&#8217;s book, as well as &#8220;The unity of beauty&#8221; and &#8220;Music in the context of Islam&#8221; collections to the RAS Institute of Oriental Studies.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A unique book written by Hamid-Reza Kelichkhani \u2014 &#8220;Iranian calligraphy.
