Where can you find thousands of books in different languages in the same place? Best fiction, academic and science fiction editions? Over 30,000 visitors examining bookshelves and flipping through the pages? About 300 publishing houses, book selling companies and cultural institutes from 24 countries? <\/span><\/p>\n

You can find all this at Non\/fiction \u2013 the biggest annual book event, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The international Fair for Hiqh-quality fiction and non-fiction will take place in the Central House of Artists at Krymskiy val from 28 November to 2 December 2018 under the patronage of the Federal Press and Mass Communications Agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

As always, the Non\/fiction book fair will offer its visitors not only books, but also interesting events on a loop: the readers will have the opportunity to meet well-known Russian and foreign writers, poets, playwrights, illustrators, translators, literary critics, academicians, film makers, travellers, cultural workers and public figures. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Ibn Sina Islamic Culture Research Foundation will take part in the book fair for the 10th time, and for the first time under its new name. The Foundation\u2019s booth will be located at the 2nd floor under the no. F-8. The booth for children\u2019s literature represented by the Sadra publishing house can be found at the 3rd floor under the no.18-6.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year the Foundation will present its book range, with a special place for new fiction and academic editions:<\/span><\/p>\n

1)\u201dThe Qur\u2019an in the culture of Muslim peoples\u201d by Muhammad Ali Taskhiri (translated from Arabic by D. Mikulskiy, F. Nofal; \u201cThe Qur\u2019anic series\u201d);<\/span><\/p>\n

2) A man on the minbar. The image of a spiritual leader in Tatar and Turkish literature (end of 19th – first third of 20th century) by A.T. Sibgatullina (Islamica & Orientalistica series);<\/span><\/p>\n

3)\u00a0 <\/span>Bayt Al-Hikma. The history of academy of sciences in the East by Seyed Aboutorab Siyahpush (Translated from Farsi by I. Gibadullin; Islamic and pre-Islamic worlds: history and politics);<\/span><\/p>\n

4) Libya. Where is the country of 140 tribes going? by M.F. Vidyasova (Islamic and pre-Islamic worlds: history and politics);<\/span><\/p>\n

5) Spaces and meanings. Memorable chapters of the Arab world history, edited by V.A. Kuznetsov, D.E. Mishin, V.V. Orlov (Islamic and pre-Islamic worlds: history and politics);<\/span><\/p>\n

6) \u201cThe right scales (al-Kustas al-Mustaqeem)\u201d (translated from Arabic by V. Naumkin, series \u201cIslamic: classics and modernity\u201d);<\/span><\/p>\n

7) \u201cThe Persian literature of the 9th-16th centuries. Volume 1. The Persian literature of the pre-Mongol period (9th-beginning of 13th century). The period of canon formation: early classics\u201d by M.L. Reisner and A.N. Ardashnikova (Persian literature); <\/span><\/p>\n

8) \u201cPersophonia. Regionality, identity, linguistic contacts in the history of Asia\u201d by Bert G. Fragner (translated from German by E. Sagetdinov);<\/span><\/p>\n

9)\u201d Music in the context of Islam: Iranian traditions\u201d (translated from Farsi by B. Norik, I. Gibadullin, N. Tariq, edited by T.M. Jani-Zade; \u201cThe unity of beauty. Islam and music\u201d series);<\/span><\/p>\n

10) \u201c Light and bread\u201d by Irfan Nazakhari (translated from Farsi by Yu. Fedorova).<\/span><\/p>\n

It should be noted two works (2nd and 5th on the list above) were published based on the results of the Ibn Sina grant contest announced in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

The visitors will be able to meet recognized experts and scholars engaged in Islamic culture, Oriental studies, Islamic studies, to learn about latest trends in the field of Islamic research and Muslim peoples\u2019 culture on 30 November at 3 pm during the presentation of the Islamic Culture Research Foundation\u2019s activities, which will take place in the Literary Caf\u00e9 at the Central House of Artists.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
