On the 17th<\/sup> of May a meeting between the heads of Ibn Sina Foundation and the Ufa University of Science and Technologies took place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the negotiations Vadim Petrovich Zakharov, the Rector of the Ufa University of Science and Technologies, paid a special attention to the prospect of opening of the Center of Iranian Studies at the University, as well as to Foundation\u2019s assistance in forming international teams for applying for grants of the Russian Scientific Foundation. He also mentioned the issue of implementation of Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ufa University of Science and Technologies and Foundation that had been signed in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamid Hadavimoghaddam, the president of Ibn Sina Foundation, underlined that \u201cduring more than 15 years of its existence the Foundation established strong partnership with many scientific and educational centers both in Russia and Iran, and it creates favorable conditions for implementation of different projects in the area of Islamic and Iranian studies. Cooperation with the Ufa University of Science and Technologies is a great honor for us, and we are happy that we have already brought into reality several joint projects\u201d. The president of the Foundation expressed readiness to support the University in its research work in the area of Islamic culture, namely its written heritage and organization of educational and media programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCollaboration with the respected Foundation of Islamic Culture Research iv very important for us as the biggest University of the region where more than 45 thousand students are currently studying, among them about 3 thousand foreign students who are representatives of different cultures and nations\u201d, – Vadim Zakharov said. The only physical copy of \u201cThe Notes\u201d of Ibn Fadlan was granted by the Foundation to University\u2019s library at the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
