On August 29, 2026, Ibn Sina Foundation together with the Oriental Literature Center arranged a screen of the documentary “Written Heritage” by Emir Valinejad.
The film is dedicated to Persian- and Arabic-Language Muslim written monuments. Spectators got acquainted with the process of creation, decoration and cataloging of manuscripts. The filmmaker pays a special attention to methods of decorating manuscripts: working with the frontispiece and the mihrab-shaped headpiece, and the secrets of using pigments and gilding.
The film “Written Heritage” was created with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation. Previously it had won a diploma for the best operator work at the XXXIII International Cinema Forum “Golden Knight” (2024) and a special prize of the documentary film jury at the XI International Cinema Festival “Golden Tower” (2025).
