The International Film Festival “The Cross of Civilizations” that had been held in Karachay Cherkessia on October 24 to 26 was ended. This year participants from Russia, Brasilia, the Southern African Republic, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Cuba, India, Iran, Argentina, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Portugal participated in the festival that became a platform for artistic dialogue between filmmakers from various countries. 16 impressing films were shown to spectators. At the closing ceremony all the films, including “Written Heritage” by Emir Valinejad that had been created with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation, got the official participant certificates.
This year this artwork by Emir Valinejad has won a diploma for the best operator work at “Golden Knight” Film Forum. The film is dedicated to the art of Iranian calligraphy, the tradition of creating paper and books, as well as to preservation and spreading Persian manuscripts in Russia.
