Ibn Sina Foundation participated in non/fictio№ Spring 2025 Book Fair

Ibn Sina Foundation and “Sadra” Publishing House took part in Non/fictio№ Spring International Book Fair thus presenting their books for the 19th time. The event took place from April 10 to 13, 2025, at Gostiny Dvor in Moscow.

This year Ibn Sina and “Sadra” Publishing House presented maximum of their books at their stand, paying a special attention to the books published in 2024-2025. Works on Iran and Sufism were especially popular among customers, particularly the book guide “Touristic Iran”, “The World of Islamic Mysticism” by A. Schimmel, “One Hundred Gazelles by Hafiz”, “The Light Man in Iranian Sufism” by Henry Corbin.

Two books published by the Foundation and “Sadra” were included into the top list of Non/fictio№VESNA International Book Fair: “Ten Years in the East: the Essays of a Russian Woman on Afghanistan” by Yu. Mitenkova and “The Comparison between the Muslim Teaching on Divine Names and its Christian Understanding” by G.S. Sablukov edited by F.O. Nofal.

On April 11 two presentations were held at the stand of “Sadra” and Ibn Sina Foundation.

  1. The research scholar of the Department of the Islamic World Philosophy of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences Faris Osmanovich Nofal presented the book “The Comparison between the Muslim Teaching on Divine Names and its Christian Understanding” by G.S. Sablukov. The head of the Expert Council for the Interaction with the Islamic World of the Department of External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church Hieromonk Grigory (Matrusov) became a special guest of the event.
  2. The senior lecturer of the Department of Iranian Philology of the Institute of Asian and African Countries of Lomonosov Moscow State University Anna Viktorovna Gromova presented a review of Foundation and “Sadra” Persian language textbooks and the newly published third volume of the Comprehensive Persian Russian Dictionary issued by “Russky Mir” Foundation.

The stand was visited by many respected guests who were interested in the Islamic culture, among them the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali, the head of the Cultural Centre of the Iranian Embassy Masoud Ahmadvand, the author of the book “Islamic Banking” Andrey Yurievich Zhuravlev, the author and translator of several books on Islamic philosophy Rouzana Vladimirovna Pskhou, the author and translator of books on Islamic philosophy Andrey Vsevolodovich Paribok.
