The Foundation took part in the 36th Tehran International Book Fair that was held on 7 to 17 May in the capital of Iran.
This year Ibn Sina Foundation presented its books at its own stand. Readers paid a special attention to the following books: “Islam in the Photo Collection of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society Exhibition Catalogue” edited by E.A. Razvan and A.Yu. Kudryavtseva, the third volume of the Large Persian Russian Dictionary collected by V. B. Ivanov, textbooks on Persian language and Iranian novels translated into Russian.
The book “Persian Language and Dagestan Literature” by P. M. Alibekova published with the assistance of the Foundation got “Book of the Year” Iranian Award.
Many Russian language university teachers as well as students studying Russian and Russian literature lovers visited the stand of the Foundation.
The Tehran International Book Fair is a major book event that takes place annually in the capital of Iran in the beginning of May. The event is being held at the territory of multifunctional religious complex with the area of 120 000 square meters. More than 5 million attendants visit the book fair annually, among them university teachers, scholars and literature lovers. Books in various language are presented at the exhibition: most of them are in English and in Arabic, but books in French, Chinese, German, Russian, Korean and Japanese languages are also available.
