Ibn Sina Foundation Published an Interview With  the Custodian of Persian Manuscripts Collection at the State Hermitage Museum

Dear friends and Oriental art lovers!

We publish an exclusive interview with the legend of world art history Adel Tigranovna Adamova who is the senior research scholar of the Orient Department and is the custodian of the Persian manuscript collection at the State Hermitage Museum.

During her conversation with the President of Ibn Sina Foundation Hamid Hadavimoghaddam and the Vice-president Seyyed Nasser Tabaei she shared interesting stories from her professional career. She spoke on her work at the Hermitage, particularly how she did her best in order to do research in the area of  her favourite topic which is Qajar Epoch Art.

In 1971 she successfully defended her PhD. dissertation. She is a major specialist on Persian painting, the author of fundamental works who won the highest awards including “The Book of the Year” World Award (2016) and newly received B.B. Piotrovsky Award for outstanding achievements in the area of humanitarian sciences.

On September 17 and 18, 2025, the State Hermitage Museum holds the conference in honor of Adel Tigranovna Adamova under the title of “Reflection on Muslim Art: Artists, Masters and Their Schools”.
