On Wednesday, 17 September, the film “Dot” dedicated to Muslim calligraphy was screened at the Bishkek State University.
The film was shown in the framework of the meeting of university scholars and students from the Department of Persian Language with the cultural advisor of the Iranian Embassy Abuzar Toghami and the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations T.G. Mashrapov. A master class with the invited Iranian calligraphists Qasr Zandi and Javad Shabani was also held.
The “Dot” documentary was created by the the filmmaker Emir Valinejad with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation in 2019. It won several prestigious awards at various film festivals.
