“Written Heritage” documentary participated in the 18th International Film Festival “Salt of the Earth” for the first time. The Festival was held from 16 to 20 October 2025 in Samara and was aimed to the support of young filmmakers from Russia and abroad, international cultural relations development, strengthening friendship and peace between various nations by the means of cinema.
The best documentaries were chosen based on the results of the concourse. The film “Written Heritage” created with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation got the participant certificate.
The film “Written Heritage” was directed by Emir Valinejad in 2024. It is dedicated to the art of Iranian calligraphy, the technology of producing paper and books and to specific features of content and spreading Persian manuscripts in Russia. This film got an award for the best operator work at the XXXIII International Film Forum “Golden Knight” in 2024.
