The Results of the Ibn Sina Foundation Participation in the International Non/fiction№27 Book Fair

Ibn Sina Foundation participated in the International Non/fiction№27 Book Fair for the 20th time. Together with “Sadra” Publishing House the Foundation presented its book production at the 27th Fair that took place on 4 to 7 December at Gostiny Dvor in Moscow.

On December 6 two key presentations were held at the stand:

The Scientific Director of the Foundation Andrey Alexandrovich Lukashev introduced books issued in 2025 in cooperation with the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Dagestan Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He told about scientific significance and cultural value of the work “Dagestani Arabic language Epistolary Sources and Documents of the Late 18th – Early 20th Centuries. Part I” by Z.A. Magomedova and “Muslim Decorated Steles of the 14th- 16th Centuries from Kubachi as Monuments of Stone-Cutting Art, Arabic Epigraphy and Calligraphy” by M.M. Mammaev.

Svetlana Yuryevna Babenkova, the Senior Research Scholar of the Department of Economical Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the scientific editor and co-author of the third edition of the book “Money in Islamic Economics”, presented that work and told about her contribution into the book by H. Nazari, S.H. Mirjalili and P. Davoudi. She managed to place Iranian scholars’ research results into the context of the existing economical theory and the newest trends in the financial area.

High ranking guests also visited the stand or the Foundation and “Sadra”: namely, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Kazem Jalali, the Head of the Cultural Representative Office of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow Masoud Ahmadvand and the President of Omar Khayyam Cultural-Literary Association Oleg Venediktovich Akulinichev.

The top-5 sold books included mainly new works published during the last three years: “Money in Islamic Economics” by H. Nazari, S.H. Mirjalili and P. Davoudi (the third edition, revised and supplemented, 2025); “he Qur’an. Translation of Meanings” prepared by the specialists from Ibn Sina Foundation (2025); the tourist guide “Touristic Iran” (2024); the collection of articles “Islamic Economics” (the second edition, 2023); the textbook “The History of Arab and Muslin Philosophy” edited by A.V. Smirnov (2020).

Besides that, the Fair Expert Council included some books published by Ibn Sina Foundation into the tip list of non/fictio№27: “Money in Islamic Economics” and “Muslim Decorated Steles of the 14th- 16th Centuries from Kubachi…”.
