The second volume of the Islamic philosophy journal “Ishraq” was published with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation, the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and the Iranian Institute of Philosophy.
The new issue includes seven articles, among them three research works: “Khalil Rahimov About Sufi Knowledge” by I.R. Nasyrov, “An Answer to Al-Ghazali Controversy. Part 1 and 2” by H. Corbin and “’Iḥyā’ ‘Ulūm al-Dīn’: Towards an Integrative Project of the Anthropology of Islam” by F.O. Nofal.
The journal also includes two translations: “The Beginning of Repentance (a fragment) of al-Kharis al-Muhasibi” (the introductory article, translation from Arabic and commentaries by R.V. Pskhou) and “The Language of Birds. On the Divine Unity” by Farid al-Din Attar Nishabouri (the introductory article, translation from Persian and historical cultural commentary by Yu.Ye. Fyodorova).
And two reviews: K.V. Karpova about the work by Ogden S. “Averroes on Intellect. From Aristotelian Origins to Aquinas’s Critique” (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2022. 281 p.) and Yu.O. Molchanova about the book “Peaceful and Kind Islam: Discourse on the Traditional Islam Among Turk Muslims of the European Part of Russia and Crimea” under the edition of R.I. Bekkin (M.: Novoe Literaturnoe Obozreniye, 2021. 280 p.).

“Ishraq” Journal has been published since 2023 twice a year in the official status of a periodical. It has been included into the “White List” compiled by the Interdepartmental Group Under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation». Its Chief editor is the academician A.V. Smirnov (the History of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences), the production editor is Vs.V. Zolotoukhin (the National Research University “The Higher School of Economics”); and its deputy Chief editors are A.A. Lukashev and F.O. Nofal (both from the Institute of Philosophy of the RAS).
