On February 25 a new meeting arranged in the framework of the Scientific Theological Seminar “Ramadan Studies” was held at the Moscow Islamic Institute. The Scientific Director of Ibn Sina Foundation Andrey Alexandrovich Lukashev delivered a lecture for students.
His speech was dedicated to the emergence and development of medieval Iranian mysticism known as Irfan. Andrey Alexandrovich not only paid a special attention to social, economic, historical and religious roots of this school of thought but also told about the key figures in the area of Sufi philosophy. Thus, he spoke on the heritage of Sanai, Attar, Rumi, Shabistari and Jami.
At the end of the event the lecturer congratulated everybody with the Sacred Month of Ramadan and passed warm greetings from the President of Ibn Sina Foundation Hamid Hadavimoghaddam.
