Ibn Sina Foundation Participated in the Literary Musical Event “Fairy Tales of the Ancient East”

On Friday, 5 September 2025, Ibn Sina Foundation participated in the literary musical event “Fairy Tales of the Ancient East” that took place at the Musical Salon of the Vasilchikov Estate Museum of Military Uniform.

Ibn Sina Foundation and “Sadra” Publishing House held an exhibition of their books dedicated to Iranian culture and art, Persian language and literature, Islamic philosophy, Sufism, the Holy Qur’an, as well as Iranian miniaturist Bahram al-Sama’s artworks and Iranian folk crafts.

Several participants performed at the event: Sergey Semyonov (piano) and Ekaterina Kuprikova (soprano), as well as the project authors: Olga Sveshnikova (artistic recitation) and Igor Girenko (the host). The resprcted guests, among then the representatives of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation, “Rossotrudnichestvo”, Mir Business Bank, scholars and artists, could enjoy the poetry of Abu Abdullah Jafar Ibn Muhammad Rudaki, Saadi Shirazi, Omar Khayyam, Sergey Esenin, Ivan Bunin, Nikolay Gumilev and the music of Mikhail Glinka, Modest Musorgsky, Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov, Anton Rubinstein, Alexander Borodin, Antonio Vivaldi and Georg Friedrich Handel that was recited and played at the event.

At the end of the event Ibn Sina Foundation granted a book with ghazals of Hafiz translated into Russian and “Sadra” Calendar-2026 to Olga Sveshikova.

The event was organized by “Bolshaya Pyaterka” Company, Ibn Sina Foundation and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation.

It was held with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, compatriots living abroad and international humanitarian cooperation.
