On February 10 Mohammad Sahar Qashani, the Director of the Iranian International Institute for the Muslim-Christian Dialogue, delivered a lecture at the Kazan Orthodox Spiritual Seminary. The event was held with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation.
Dr. Qashani explained to the students specializing on Islamic studies the essence of Shi’izm, its formation and development. In his report he paid attention to the common points between the Shi’a Islam and the Orthodox Christianity: ethical and family values, precious value of life and woman status in both confessions.
