The Book “Soul Without Limits” Presentation Held at the Saint Petersburg State University

On March 21 presentation of contemporary Iranian prose collection “Soul Without Limits” was held at the Saint Petersburg State University (SPSU). The book was issued by “Sadra” Publishing House with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation in 2026. The event was opened by the ceremony of commemoration of innocent people from different Iranian cities who had been tragically martyred by US and Israeli armed forces.

A well known writer, the Head of the Department for Interdisciplinary Researches in the Area of Languages and Literatures (SPSU) Andrey Alexeevich Astvatsaturov expressed his solidarity with the Iranian nation. He pointed to the timeliness of the book issue and called it meaningful, interesting, both meditative and dynamic.

The Scientific Director of Ibn Sina Foundation Andrey Alexandrovich Lukashev conveyed greetings on behalf of the President of the Foundation Hamid Hadavimoghaddam and the General Director of “Sadra” Publishing House S.N. Tabaei. He told that the idea to combine various contemporary Iranian cultural views and styles in the framework of one book came to existence thanks to the dialogue between Russian and Iranian scholars. The collection includes stories by twenty famous Iranian writers and depicts ideological and spiritual reflections of the generation raised on the merge of traditions and changes.

The book presentation was held by its translator, the writer Alexander Pavlovich Andryushkin. He told about his work on the stories translation and their thematic and stylistic variety.

The collection “Soul Without Limits” was published based on the results of Ibn Sina Publishing Grant Competition.
