From May 10 to June 1, 2025, the unique International Islamic Philosophy School will open its doors with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation and the Tehran University. This major project will unite prominent research scholars in order to cover the rich heritage of the classical Islamic thought and its influence on the world philosophical tradition.
This scholl gives a precious possibility to comprehend Oriental and Western heritage discovering how the philosophy of al-Kindi, al-Radhi, al-Farabi and other great Islamic thinkers has formed the Islamic tradition and how they have influenced the world scientific and cultural development.
The course includes:
✔ Lectures by the leading experts from Iran and other countries.
✔ Studying works of the first Islamic philosophers and their links with Antique and Ancient Iranian wisdom.
✔ The analisys of actual items: from al-Farabi’s theology to the utopic “Ideal City”.
✔ Discussions on cultural dialogue and the modern meaning of classical texts.
This online course will be useful for philosophers, religion research scholars, students and everyone who wishes to get acquainted with Islamic intellectual tradition and its role in the history of thought.
