The course of lectures under the title of “Great Persian Poets” was held on April 1 – July 8, 2025, at N.A. Nekrasov Library with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation. During three months research scholars from the Scientific Research Institute “The High School of Economics”, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences delivered 11 lectures dedicated to the heritage of the following Persian poets:

- Firdowsi (M.A. Alontsev, the High School of Economics);
- Omar Khayyam (E.L. Nikitenko, the High School of Economics);
- Nasir Khusraw (T.G. Korneeva, the Institute of Philosophy);
- Attar (M.A. Alontsev, the High School of Economics);
- Nizami Ganjevi (E.L. Nikitenko, the High School of Economics);
- Jalal al-Din Rumi (M.A. Alontsev, the High School of Economic);
- Saadi Shirazi (E.L. Nikitenko, the High School of Economics);
- Jami (M.A. Alontsev, the High School of Economics);
- Amir Khosrow Dehlevi (L.A. Vasilieva, the Institute of Oriental Studies);
- Hafiz (E.L. Nikitenko, the High School of Economics);
This course will help to get acquainted with outstanding Persian language poets who have been inspired literature lovers from the Middle East to Europe and India, and to comprehend its history.
